ETRS—EyeNet Offline Video Technical Review System

With rapid development of on-demand video and OTT video services, the content providers, telecommunications and broadcasting operators continue to integrate various video resources to enrich their video source libraries. Due to the uneven quality of the video sources from various parties, technical review of the injected video source is an indispensable part of the media asset management system in order to ensure the quality of the video source libraries.

ETRS offline video file technical review system can quickly and efficiently scan a large number of video files stored in disk arrays or network disks, ensuring the video quality of these files. It can quickly detect various video file quality issues and generate the professional reports.

The ETRS system mainly examines video file quality issues in the following areas

•     Detectvarious audio and video encoding errors, and make sure the program can be played correctly on the user’s set-top box or other video terminals.
•     Check accuracy of video parameters, include audio/video bit rate, audio and video PID, GOP structure, video resolution, frame rate, aspect ratio, etc.
•     ETSI TR101-290 events checking, check if the MPEG2-TS video file has the first and second level priority events defined in the ETSI TR101-290 specification.
•     Video and audio content layer quality verification, check the quality of the audio and video content layer, support error detection for black screen, still frame, blockiness, color-bar, monocolor screen, mute, plosion and other faults.

The Key Features and Functions of the ETRS system

•     B/S architecture and web-based user interface, support multi-user operation to improve system efficiency.
•     High-performance and reliable offline video file analysis engine, supports multi-threaded concurrent file analysis, greatly improving system productivity and efficiency.
•     Bulk files scan and analysis, quickly scan a large number of video files on a specified directory or network disk to automatically locate files with problems.
•     Accurate file fault point positioning: provides microseconds level time accuracy; the detected video fault pictures (such as black screen, still frame, color-bar, monocolor screen, etc.) can be saved as JPG files.
•     Flexible integration with other systems, support multiple ways to integrate with other video technical review systems, such as CSV file output, HTTP POST + XML API.
•     Supports various video file formats, such as MP4, FLV and 188-byte and 204-byte MPEG2-TS file encapsulation formats.
•     Support various video encoding formats, such as MPEG2, H.264, H.265, AVS and other video encoding formats.
•     Powerful, flexible and automated reporting, generates report with file formats such as HTML, CSV and PDF.
