The EVA High Speed Probe (EVA-HS) consists of a high performance x86 PC server and a high speed Gigabit (or 10 Gigabit) Ethernet data acquisition card. The EVA-HS probe supports high-capacity real-time IP video stream processing at full line rate. It can be deployedat the SHE, VHO and IP backbone for real-time monitoring for all the multicast streams and VoD unicast streams.

The EVA-Mini probe is a small, lightweight and fan-less probe for deployment at the broadband access network (eg. DSLAM, OLT, campuses, building, hotel, etc.) and home network.Itslong-term IP video passive monitoring andactive test capability is suitable for Tier2 & Tier3 support engineer to troubleshoot complex IP video problems from VIP customer’s complaints.

The EVA software can be installed on a Windows® based Laptop PC, which is suitable for network engineer to carry it for on-site IP video test and troubleshooting at broadband access network and subscriber’s home network environment. The EVA software uses the NDIS interface to capture and analyze IP video traffic from the network under test. It can simulate the Set-Top-Box (STB) with the active IGMP and RTSP test capability to join the specific multicast or VOD channels for QoS/QoE testing.

The PC requirements for the EVA software are

• Operating System: Windows Server 2003 / 2008, Windows XP Pro SP2, Win7, Win8, Win10

• PCI-E 10/100/1000 Mbps network card

• Dual-core CPU with Intel 2.0GHz or higher

Running on a PC that meets the above configuration, the EVA software can process 100-500 Mb/s IP video traffic in real-time. It can support
