Dekscomwon the bid for Chongqing, Xinjiang Unicom IPTV service quality monitoring system

In February and April 2017, Dekscom Communication Company won the bid for the IPTV service quality monitoring system project of China Unicom Chongqing Branch and Xinjiang Branch respectively. Dekosite will deploy an end-to-end IPTV video service quality assurance system based on the technical specifications of the IPTV quality monitoring system promulgated by China Unicom headquarters and the actual business conditions of Chongqing Unicom and Xinjiang Unicom. Taking Xinjiang Unicom as an example, the system includes the following components:

(1) Deploy video stream monitoring probes and multi-screen monitoring probes at the entrance of the provincial center platform, and conduct 7*24-hour quality monitoring on the 46-channel live broadcast source provided by Shanghai Wenguang and 109 live broadcast sources provided by Xinjiang Zhongguang. Audio and video quality failure (such as black field, still frame, video loss, video decoding abnormality, color field, color bar and other video failures, audio loss, high volume, low volume and other audio faults) for monitoring, multi-screen combination display, Transcode video, etc., and generate service level (SLA) reports on a regular basis.

(2) In the export of Xinjiang Unicom’s IPTV broadcast control platform, a video stream monitoring probe is deployed to monitor the quality of the live broadcast and on-demand programs of the Xinjiang Unicom BOSS platform, which can be used for various video quality faults (such as Caton, mosaic, flower screen, sound). Real-time alerts, intermittent or no sound, etc., and periodic generation of service level (SLA) reports.

(3) Deploy a set of video stream monitoring probes at 9 edge nodes (including Urumqi, Changji, Shihezi, Karamay, Yili, Bazhou, Kashgar, Hotan, Aksu) to quickly diagnose various video quality faults , locate the upstream and downstream of the network, the video server platform, and the terminal failure point.

(4) A QoS soft probe is deployed in 300,000 IPTV set-top boxes in Xinjiang, which can automatically identify and record all kinds of IPTV live and on-demand programs and EPG access behaviors watched by users, and alarm and statistics the quality problems of user experience such as video carton, and report statistical indicators and alarm information to the monitoring center.

(5) Deploy an end-to-end video quality center management platform in the provincial center can provide basic information about IPTV set-top boxes (such as terminal ID, terminal model, MAC address, IP address, etc.), video program viewing records, user experience indicators, CDN servers and networks. Performance indicators and terminal performance indicators are collected, and statistical analysis and fault mining are performed on the above data, which can alert serious regional and platform faults; unified management of various types of probes, aggregation of KPI indicators, and unified configuration Processing, able to generate an early warning work order to dock Xinjiang Unicom work order system.
